HP

At approximately $50 billion in yearly sales (2018), HP needs little introduction. This being said, a lot has changed with respect to print in the last year. For starters, HP has purchased the A3 laser copy assets of Samsung and have reworked all the software to align with their own line of print devices. In addition, they have taken their billion dollar R&D investment in ink jet technology and shrunk it down to their amazingly fast Pagewide line of colour multifunctionals. Most importantly, HP has recognized that they cannot continue to sell their products transactionally (i.e. where customers buy the product from one vendor and get service and supplies from another) as it just doesn’t usually work as well with higher end products running at higher print volumes. If speed of print, colour, network security, and service are important to your business – HP’s newest line of contractual products are a must see!
